A Vercel alternative on your own cloud

Your own Vercel, on your own cloud.

Keep the workflow you liked: push to deploy, stage and prod, your framework, a console. Run it on your own Cloudflare account, with Supabase when you need Postgres. Cloudflare and Supabase bill you directly for what the app uses, and builds run in your own GitHub Actions.

Who it is for

Teams that have outgrown a limit.

Vercel is a good product, and most of its limits have a fix inside Vercel. These are the ones where the fix is owning the account your app runs in. Each limit, explained.

Builds that hit 45 minutes

Vercel stops every build at 45 minutes, on every plan. Here the build runs in your own GitHub Actions, where one job can run for up to six hours.

A Hobby project that went commercial

Vercel's Hobby plan is for non-commercial personal use, and pauses when it runs out. Here you pay Cloudflare by requests and CPU time, not by seat.

Bills that follow your traffic

Vercel meters data transfer, CDN requests and image transformations. Cloudflare charges nothing for egress on Workers static assets or R2.

Functions that mostly wait

A function waiting on an API or a model still costs wall-clock time. Workers bill CPU time, so time spent waiting is not on the meter.

What you keep

The workflow, on accounts you own.

Push to deploy

Every merge to main deploys stage, checks it, then deploys prod, from CI in your own repository.

Every pull request checked

A pull request builds the app and dry-runs the deploy, and its plan says exactly what a merge will ship.

Your framework

Next.js through OpenNext or vinext; Astro, Nuxt and SvelteKit through their own Cloudflare adapters; Hono and other APIs as plain Workers.

Templates

57 Vercel templates already ported, each built into a repository you own in 4–20 minutes.

Storage that maps across

Vercel Blob becomes R2, Redis becomes Workers KV, Postgres becomes Supabase through Hyperdrive, cron jobs become Cron Triggers.

Custom domains

Your domains on your own Cloudflare zone, with certificates handled by Cloudflare. On Pro and above.

Secrets that stay out of the repo

Connect Cloudflare and Supabase once per workspace. Deploy jobs get short-lived credentials minted from that connection.

A console, and agents that know it

Runs, logs and a service catalog in the console, and the same context for Claude Code, Cursor or VS Code over MCP.

How the move works

Three steps, and the last one is a merge.

STEP 1

Connect your accounts

Create a free workspace and connect Cloudflare, and Supabase if you need Postgres. Each is a token you paste once; Orunbase verifies it and keeps it in custody.

STEP 2

Start from a template, or bring your app

Pick one of the ported Vercel templates and Orunbase builds it into a new repository, provisioned with Terraform. Or move your own app: the steps are in our Vercel to Cloudflare migration guide.

STEP 3

Merge to deploy

CI in your GitHub Actions plans each change, deploys stage, checks it, then deploys prod. Every run is recorded in the console.

Questions

What people ask before they move.

Is Cloudflare cheaper than Vercel?

Often, when most of the bill is data transfer, static assets, or functions that wait on other services: Cloudflare does not charge egress for Workers static assets or R2, and bills Workers on CPU time. For a small app inside Vercel's included usage the difference is small. Compare your own bill line by line before you move.

Can Next.js run on Cloudflare Workers?

Yes. The ported templates use the OpenNext adapter (@opennextjs/cloudflare), which supports the App Router, the Pages Router and incremental static regeneration with a cache in R2. For new apps Cloudflare now recommends vinext, its Vite-based Next.js, which is in beta. How to choose.

Do I need Supabase?

Only for Postgres. Apps that need a key-value store, file storage or SQLite use Cloudflare's own Workers KV, R2 and D1, and run on Cloudflare alone.

Does Orunbase have preview deployments like Vercel?

Not per pull request, today. Every pull request is built and its deploy is dry-run, and its plan shows what the merge will ship; stage is a full deployment every merge goes to before prod.

What does Orunbase cost?

The Free plan covers up to three repositories. Pro is $20 a month and adds custom domains and up to 25 repositories (pricing). Cloudflare and Supabase bill you directly for what your app uses, and GitHub's own minutes apply to Actions in private repositories.

Do I keep everything if I leave?

Yes. The app, its Terraform and its pipeline are files in your repository, and the app runs on standard Cloudflare and Supabase products in your accounts. The pipeline runs orun, an open-source CLI under the MIT licence.

Your app, your accounts, the same workflow.

Start on the Free plan with a ported template, or bring the app you already have.
